About Perfect Patchwork
Perfect Patchwork, presented by DEN Arts, brings together the vibrant quilting communities of Colorado in a showcase of artistry, heritage, and creativity.
The exhibition was on display at DEN Airport October 2023 to February 2024, featuring work from the Rocky Mountain Wa Shonaji Quilt Guild, the Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild, and the Colorado Quilting Council, alongside pieces from the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. Each organization contributes its own style and perspective, united by a shared passion for preserving and elevating the quilting tradition in Colorado.
As you explore the quilts displayed throughout the exhibit, you’ll encounter pieces inspired by Denver’s urban landscape, Colorado’s dramatic natural scenery, and the spirit of aviation. Many works reveal meticulous hand-stitching and thoughtful design choices that reflect the histories, cultures, and personal stories of the quilters and their guilds.
Perfect Patchwork invites you into a world of color, texture, and pattern, where time-honored techniques meet bold contemporary vision. From classic motifs that honor quilting’s deep roots to inventive modern interpretations that stretch the boundaries of the craft, this exhibition highlights the extraordinary creativity possible with fabric, thread, and imagination.
