Meeting Highlights
- Andrea brought the meeting to order at 7:10pm at the new space in Interlocken.
- 16 members signed in. We got one new member.
- No report on the account balance.
- Blocks for the charity quilt inspired by the Boulder County Barn Quilts are due at the July meeting.
- July’s Sew Day is on the 24th from 9am to 5pm in a location to be announced.
- Fancy Tiger Crafts is holding a 10th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, June 18 from 10am-7pm.
- QuiltCon 2017 registration opens on the 25th for MQG members.
- Kari V. is teaching “Tell Me a Story Paper Piecing Class” at Fancy Tiger at the end of August. See link for details.
- Shelby and Lauren gave a brief presentation about constructive criticism and then we broke into smaller groups to talk about ideas for show quilts. It was a positive and helpful experience for those involved. If you missed it, we will be doing it again in coming months before the show deadline.
- The handout with the critique guidelines have been uploaded, if you are interested in taking a look at them.
- There was a brief show and share with lovely projects. Thank you to everyone!
