Event
November 9, 2019

Join us for a workshop with Stephanie Zacharer Ruyle! (@SpontaneousThreads)
What: “Searching for Corners” quilt workshop
When: Saturday, November 9, 2019 - 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Virginia Village Branch Library, (1500 S Dahlia St, Denver)

“Searching for Corners” is a study in modern composition based on a rotational layout of 9 “similar” blocks.

A slight of hand*** allows the 9 blocks to be joined to create a dominant foreground or background, depending on your personal color/fabric choices.

This class will focus on the construction of the 9 blocks needed to make the quilt top. Each student will learn skills to tackle the foreground curves and circles as well as the most basic 4 patch construction of the background. Although multiple variations of the above layout are possible, this all-day class will focus on the layout above.

There will be some time to discuss finishing options including the pieced binding.

(***Handedness: the creation of mirror image blocks. This process will be explained in class)
