January 9, 2019
Odd month meetings in 2019 will be at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum in Golden. In addition to color exercises with Kari (see below), we'll also go over the regular business stuff, announcements and don't forget to bring any finished quilts, sewing projects, or WIPs for show-and-tell!

Color Principles with Kari V.
We will explore color principles with a hands-on follow-up to Kari’s color presentation. Over the course of two meetings, we will explore color harmony and application to design with creative exercises. The next task will be some homework to sew a few blocks. Then we will have a group reveal of our results with sewn blocks and talk about our successes and learning experiences. Prepare to experiment and explore for the sake of learning!
The kick off meeting is this Wednesday. We’ll explore block design using value contrast in the meeting. Please bring a pencil and a black marker or pen. If you have a favorite block or simple block repeat you’ve been wanting to explore, please bring it in (sketch, photo, or whatever you’ve got) or we’ll have starter designs and blanks to get you going. You’ll be asked to push what can be created through the structure of the block with value.
Quilt Con Charity Quilt Reveal!
Our guild quilt for Quilt Con is almost done and we'll reveal the finished quilt at the meeting.
