This striking barn quilt was another 2016 charity project for the Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild. Made with Kona cotton solids, the quilt is inspired by Stories to tell: Barn Quilts of Boulder County.

Heart-shaped blocks also featured in a 2016 quilt made for the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild’s “Quilts for Peace” project, supporting families of slain law enforcement officers in Dallas, Texas.

In 2015, members of the Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild collaborated on two charity quilts for our local police department, to provide comfort to children in domestic violence situations. Guild member Stephanie Ruyle describes this valuable project on her blog.
