The Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild’s 2016 QuiltCon Charity Quilt, “Trust“ was featured on the Modern Quilt Guild’s blog. The theme for this quilt was “Improv with Intent.”
This striking barn quilt was another 2016 charity project for the Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild. Made with Kona cotton solids, the quilt is inspired by Stories to tell: Barn Quilts of Boulder County.
Our guild members worked together on a rainbow heart quilt in 2016, which we donated to Quilts for Pulse, supporting families and survivors of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando.
Heart-shaped blocks also featured in a 2016 quilt made for the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild’s “Quilts for Peace” project, supporting families of slain law enforcement officers in Dallas, Texas.
In 2015, members of the Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild collaborated on two charity quilts for our local police department, to provide comfort to children in domestic violence situations. Guild member Stephanie Ruyle describes this valuable project on her blog.
